Union Township Police Shooting Range, Union NJ
This project was a multi-prime undertaking to install a modern bullet arrestor system in order to replace the antiquated sand berm that was used to catch bullets from police shooting practice. This project was completed during the late winter/early spring and needed to be completed in time for the new police cadet classes to qualify their marksmanship.
Our scope of work consisted of the construction of a new ballistic rated rubber block wall at the rear of the shooting range and the construction of a 150 cubic yard concrete pad for the placement of the bullet arrestor system that was to be installed by Action Target. In order to construct our scope of work, the old sand berm that was used to stop the bullets had to be excavated and regraded to the proper elevations and contours to fit the new ballistic rated wall and concrete pad. Over 2000 cubic yards of earth were moved and regraded, 50 yards of concrete was placed for the new rubber block wall footing, 80,000 pounds of reinforcing bars were placed for the concrete slab and 150 cubic yards of concrete was placed for the new pad for the Action Target system.
We were able to complete the project in time for the opening of cadet classes because of our ability to provide proper man power and communicate with the tradesmen employed by us.
